Douglas J. Brown

Founding Senior Shareholder/Attorney

Experience

Doug is a founding Shareholder of Brown & Carlson, PA.  He managed the firm until December 31, 2020 and retired December 31st, 2022.   Doug received his undergraduate degree from Nebraska Weleyan University in 1982, and his J.D. from Hamline University School of Law in 1985. He practices in the areas of workers’ compensation, employment and labor law, and personal injury defense. Doug was also co-chair of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association’s Workers’ Compensation Committee from 2007 to 2012.  Doug is a frequent lecturer at numerous conferences, CLEs and Symposiums. Outside the office, Doug enjoys reading, biking, camping, and spending time with his family.
